Do you perform strep tests?

Yes. We can perform strep testing as well as several other lab tests.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, & Discover Card. Of course, we also accept cash and checks.

Do I still have a copay or coinsurance?
|
|
Yes. Most insurance carriers have a separate copay / coinsurance for Urgent Care centers. However, certain insurance carriers, as a benefit to their members, have lowered their copay / coinsurance to match the same low rate that you pay while visiting your primary care physician.

Do I need a referral?
|
|
No. Referrals are not needed. Just as when you visit the hospital ER, a referral is not required.

Does my insurance cover the visit?
|
|
Immediate Care East accepts most insurances and is adding additional insurance carriers as demand dictates. Currently we accept Excellus (Blue Cross / Blue Shield), Preferred Care, Cigna, MVP, Aetna, Family Health Plus, Child Health Plus, United Health Care, Univera, Ramsco, Tricare, Medicare, etc.

What if you do not accept my insurance?

If Immediate Care East is not contracted with your insurance company we will still see and provide you with the appropriate paperwork for you to submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.

What if I do not have insurance?
|
|
No insurance. Not a problem. Immediate Care East will happily see you as a self-pay patient and
we offer up to a 20% discount to all those patients that pay cash at time of service. For more
information about our fee schedule please call us.

Do I need an appointment?

No. Appointments are not necessary. Simply walk in.

Will my Primary Care Physician (PCP) be aware of my visit?

Immediate Care East utilizes a state of the art Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system which enables us to communicate your medical records to your Primary Care Provider's office
typically within one hour of your visit. This allows your physician to maintain the highest level of continuity of care for you.
